Today started off on a down note, with the alarm actually going off for the first time this year. Very disappointing not to have the luxury of staying in bed until 9:30, and instead rejoin the work-a-day world. But, the silver lining is that I was awoken from a disturbing dream about harpies attacking my iPhone and bending it in half.
In the light of day, I realize how ludicrous this is, because I have an aging iPhone 5, a model not known for bending.
The trip in to work was uneventful. And this morning the boss hired a coffee cart to help us caffeinate the new year. This almost made up for having to get out of bed today.
All in all, I give this morning three and a half out of five stars.
